Middle School
Is Coming… And You’re Not Meant to Figure It Out Alone
Your child is about to take one of the biggest steps in their growing-up journey—and you might be feeling unsure about what’s ahead.
Gone are the playground chats with parents and teachers. Suddenly, your child is navigating a much bigger world—emotionally, socially, and physically. Friendships shift. Puberty begins. New language starts appearing (some of it earlier than you’d imagine). And your role as a parent? It changes too.
It’s normal to feel a bit lost at this stage.
And that’s exactly why I’ve created this talk—for you.
In this talk, we’ll gently walk through:
What really changes in Year 5–8 (academically, emotionally, socially)
Puberty and early conversations around sex and identity—what’s typical, what’s not, and how to talk about it
The language you might hear—and how to respond calmly, even when it catches you off guard
Why children pull away (and how to stay connected anyway)
How to be your child’s steady guide—even when they roll their eyes
I’ve supported families through three different middle schools here in Windsor, and I’ve seen firsthand how much easier it is when someone explains what’s coming.
You don’t need to have all the answers—you just need the right insight and support.
This isn’t about scaring you.
It’s about equipping you—gently and clearly—so you and your child can step into this next stage with confidence and excitement of whats to come.
🗓 The talk is one time only: Thursday 14th August 20.45 Live on Zoom £20
